JOHN ABRANOVICH, 82



NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Barnstone Ministries, Stateline Road at the Ohio-Pennsylvania line, for John Abranovich, 82, of 1238 Maitland Lane, who died Saturday at Overlook Nursing Home.
Mr. Abranovich, also known as "Cowboy Jack," was born Oct. 2, 1918, in Etna, Pa., a son of John and Mary Sajatovic Abranovic. He was a self-employed electrical contractor and worked in home construction. He was a World War II Army veteran who served in the European-African Campaign. He attended Barnstone Ministries.
Besides his wife, the former Charlotte Snyder, whom he married in June 1978, he leaves two daughters, Julie Smith of New Castle and Pam Brooks of Richmond, Va.; three stepdaughters, Linda Clements in Florida, Rhonda McKee of Mount Jackson and Lisa Bicek of Mercer; a son, Jack of New Castle; a stepson, John Proudfoot of Cortland; a brother, Nick of Pulaski; a sister, Dolly Secich of Farrell; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
