HELEN ADELE DILL, 71 Was nurse, teacher, rehab counselor
YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home, Bucyrus, Ohio, for Helen Adele Dill, 71, of Mount Pleasant, Mich., formerly of Youngstown and Stetzer Road, Bucyrus, who died of lung cancer Thursday evening at the home of her son.
Mrs. Dill was born April 5, 1930, in Youngstown, a daughter of Louis and Helen Hunter Chabut. She received a bachelor's degree as a registered nurse from Jackson Junior College in Michigan and was a nurse at Foote Memorial Hospital in Jackson.
She received her bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology from Youngstown State University and her master's degree in rehabilitation in 1968 from Kent State University.
She taught school in the Austintown Kindergarten Association from 1964 to 1967 and was a rehabilitation counselor for the Ohio Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation in Marion from 1967 until she retired, Jan. 31, 1992.
She also was a life insurance representative for American Family Life and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bucyrus.
Her husband, Wendell M., whom she married Feb. 12, 1968, died Aug. 6, 1991.
She leaves a son, Michael of Mount Pleasant; two brothers, Louis Chabut of North Lima and LeRoi Chabut of Youngstown; a sister, Shirley Harter of Orlando, Fla.; and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
