SALEM -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stark Memorial Funeral Home for Esther E. Miller, 88, of 250 Continental Drive, who died early Monday in Essex Nursing Center II, after a long illness.
Mrs. Miller was born Aug. 16, 1912, in East Palestine, a daughter of John M. and Elizabeth Charlton Mohr, and lived in this area for most of her life.
She had been a bookkeeper for Smith Garage for 20 years and a secretary for the Salem News for 25 years.
A 1930 graduate of East Palestine High School, she was a member of First Baptist Church in Salem and a former member of the Garden Study Club.
Her husband, Clyde E., whom she married Nov. 4, 1938, died Oct. 12, 1992.
She leaves a son, James J. of Boardman; a sister, Mildred Knight of East Palestine; and two grandchildren.
Three brothers, John, Frederick and David Mohr, and a sister, Doris Okrusky, are deceased.
Friends may call for one hour before services at the funeral home.
