SALEM -- Private services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Stark Memorial Funeral Home for William D. Willis Sr., 88, of 1009 Liberty St., who died of a heart attack Saturday night in Salem Community Hospital.
Mr. Willis was born Jan. 16, 1913, in Jefferson County, a son of Martin and Hazel Willis.
He retired in 1976 after 30 years as a truck driver for Robertson Electric Co. in Alliance. He was a Lutheran and a member of Salem Slovak Club Retirees.
His first wife, the former Mary S. Lucas, is deceased.
He leaves his second wife, the former Dorothy Menning, whom he married Nov. 16, 1967; a son, William Jr. of Alliance; three daughters, Edna Nolan and Helen Wilson, both of Alliance, and Shirley Haupt of Deerfield; a stepdaughter, Karen England of Salem; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
