LENA R. BURKE, 77

NILES -- Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Joseph Rossi Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for Lena R. Burke, 77, of 1539 Roosevelt Ave., who died early Sunday at her home.
Mrs. Burke was born June 9, 1923, in Niles, a daughter of Joseph and Rose Petrilla Gentile.
A 1940 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, she was a clerk for the Trumbull County Board of Elections for 24 years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of the church and its Altar and Rosary Society and Catholic Women's Guild and had been 2nd Ward Precinct Committeewoman.
Her husband, John, whom she married May 26, 1945, died Jan. 12, 1983.
She leaves three sons, James J. of Niles and twins, Michael P. of Niles and Patrick M. at home; a daughter, Coleen Tominey of Niles; two brothers, Palmer and Arthur Gentile, both of Niles; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
