JOHN J. CIFALDE, 74

POLAND -- Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Kinnick Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, both in Youngstown, for John J. Cifalde, 74, of 6398 Tara Drive, who died of cancer early Sunday in Forum Health Northside Medical Center after a short illness.
Mr. Cifalde was born April 2, 1927, in Youngstown, a son of Carmine and Rose Anzevino Cifalde, and was a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of North Lima High School (now South Range High School), he retired as a press operator in 1982 from Truscon Division of LTV Steel Corp., where he worked 38 years. He was a member of the church and its Holy Name Society and Wednesday Night Bowling League at the Bowladrome. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a charter member of VFW Post 8841 and a member of the Friday Night Truscon League at Holiday Bowl.
Besides his mother of Hubbard, he leaves his wife, the former Rosemary Dellick, whom he married Sept. 8, 1956; a son, John K. of Struthers; two daughters, Stacy Piette of Campbell and Linda Cifalde at home; two brothers, William and Anthony, both of Hubbard; a sister, Mary Grace Cifalde of Hubbard; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
