YOUNGSTOWN Canton PR firm opening office in the area

THE VINDICATOR, YOUNGSTOWN
YOUNGSTOWN -- A longtime advertising and public relations firm from Canton is opening an office in the Youngstown area.
Innis Maggiore Group said the office will be headed by Dan Pecchia, a company vice president and one of the firm's principal owners. He is a lifelong resident of the area and former Vindicator business editor.
Richard Maggiore, firm president and chief executive, said he thinks the local market is not served adequately and he is confident the firm can attract clients in the Youngstown-Pittsburgh corridor.
"The progress taking shape in the Mahoning and Shenango valleys has created a need for high-end public relations and advertising counsel," he said.
The office will open this spring, but the site has not been finalized. It will have three employees but staff will grow as business increases, the company said. Several key accounts will be relocated to the new office.
Innis Maggiore employs 29 people and had billings of $13 million last year. Billings have grown by an average of 23 percent a year since 1997.
Clients include Republic Technologies International, Aultman Health Foundation, Louisiana-Pacific Corp., Rainbow Rentals and the National Association of College Stores.
