WILLIAM HENRY CAPITOL, 84 Was owner of funeral home in Farrell
AUSTINTOWN -- Services will be at noon Monday in the Cedar Avenue Church of God, for William Henry Capitol, 84, of 5291 Ashley Circle, who died Thursday in Select Specialty Hospital, Youngstown.
Mr. Capitol was born Jan. 15, 1917, in Farrell, Pa., a son of Harry and Mollie Eckerd Capitol. A graduate of Farrell High School, he attended New Castle AT & amp;T , and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.
He was owner/operator of the William Capitol Funeral Home, in Farrell for 41 years and retired in 1992. He had also worked for Shenango Inc.
He was a member of the church and its Men's Club, Calumet Lodge 325, and bowled with the Capitol Funeral Home League. He enjoyed chess and coin collecting and was an Army veteran of World War II.
His wife, the former Melba Culp, whom he married Jan. 9, 1941, died June 20, 1992.
He leaves a son, William H. Jr. of Sharon, Pa.; a daughter, Dana Capitol-Jackson of Youngstown; a sister, Hazel Jaggers of Chicago, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
A brother, Eugene, and four sisters, Catherine, Louise, Viola and Clara Capitol are deceased.
Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Washington Funeral Home, Farrell, and from 11 a.m. until services Monday in the church.
