Harts are honored at anniversary dinner dance

BOARDMAN -- A dinner dance was held April 21 at Colonial Catering in Canfield in celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Hart, 7220 Claybourne Ave.
Hosts for the event were the honorees' children and their spouses, Robert M. Hart of Boardman; John P. Hart of Darango, Colo.; Tom and Jodie Hart of Boardman; Karen and Jay Gresh of Austintown; Kathleen and Craig Weaver of Boardman; Michael and Sue Hart of Boardman; Brian B. Hart of Boardman; and Richard T. Hart of Warren.
Mr. Hart and the former Ellen Jayne Mahan were married March 31, 1951, at St. Charles Church. He retired in 1987 from the U.S. Postal Service, where he was manager of the Poland Post Office. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he belongs to the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the National Association Postal Service.
His wife is a homemaker and member of the postal auxiliary.
The Harts are members of St. Charles Church, where Mrs. Hart belongs to the altar and rosary society and the Bereavement Choir.
Nine grandchildren complete their family.
