Man convicted of cocaine trafficking

WARREN -- A Trumbull County Common Pleas jury convicted a 40-year-old Highland Avenue man of several drug charges.
The jury, which began hearing Timothy Brown's case Monday in the courtroom of Judge John Stuard, deliberated about 31/2 hours Friday before returning the guilty verdicts.
The jury found Brown guilty of trafficking in cocaine, corrupting another with drugs and carrying a concealed weapon. The jury, however, acquitted Brown on a felony charge of possessing criminal tools.
Judge Stuard ordered that Brown, who was free on a $50,000 bond, be taken to the county jail until he is sentenced. Judge Stuard said Brown will be sentenced after the completion of a background check by the county adult probation department.
Brown faces up to 21 years in prison. Atty. John Fowler, who represented Brown, said he is considering filing an appeal.
