MAHONING COUNTY Warren woman gets 4 years for break-ins at Lake Milton

YOUNGSTOWN -- A Warren woman was sentenced to prison Friday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court for breaking into homes in the Lake Milton area last summer.
Judge Maureen A. Cronin ordered Mary Kay King, 37, of Griswold Street, to serve four years for six counts of forgery, three counts of receiving stolen property and one count each of complicity to burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. King had pleaded guilty to the charges in March.
The charges and sentence were the result of a plea agreement with the county prosecutor's office.
Defense attorney Dennis DiMartino said King stole jewelry and credit cards from the homes to support her drug habit.
Guilty plea: Also in common pleas court, Jeffrey Nelson, 23, of Phelps Street, is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty this week to aggravated menacing and unauthorized use of computer equipment.
Authorities said he used computers at Youngstown State University to send a threatening e-mail to Louisiana Gov. Michael Foster earlier this year because he was upset at the prospect of the New Orleans Saints football team leaving the state.
Judge James C. Evans will sentence Nelson after a background check. A date has not been set.
