ASSOCIATIONS
XBoardman-Canfield Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet at 6:45 p.m. May 2 at Loghurst Farm, Route 224, Canfield, for a tour of the farm. XMill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will elect officers during a 6 p.m. May 8 meeting at the Elton Beard Log Cabin in Boardman Township Park. Reservation deadline is April 29. Reports will be presented by Joyce Billock, Sue Billock, Kathy Fischer, Mary Lou McCarthy, Shirley Pappagallo and Marianne Poprik, who are attending the District V spring conference in Charleston, W.Va., this month. XTri-County Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will meet at 6 p.m. May 1 at the Saxon Club on Meridian Road, Austintown. Dinner will be served at 6:30, and the menu features fish or chicken, vegetable, potato, salad and dessert. The cost is $13. XAuxiliary to the Military Order of the Cooties will hold installation of officers at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at VFW 1090, Warren.
XMahoning County Council VFW Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at VFW Post 2799, New Springfield. This is a change from the original date of the May meeting. All members are urged to attend.

CLUBS
XFriends of the Poland Library will meet at 10:30 a.m. May 2 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park. Those wishing to carpool should meet at 10 a.m. at Poland Presbyterian Church. A tour of the new D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center will be conducted by Keith Kaiser, assistant horticulturist. Lunch will follow at the center's Garden Cafe. GUILDS
XSt. Michael Altar Guild of St. Michael Church, Canfield, will meet May 7. Benediction and installation of officers will be conducted at 6 p.m. followed by a catered dinner. RELIGIOUS CLUBS
XAntioch Missionary Baptist Church Men's Day Committee will hold a breakfast fellowship from 9 a.m. to noon April 28 in the fellowship hall, 110 Funston St., Youngstown. Speakers will be minister Reginald Smith and the Rev. Ernest Ellis. Ted Lambert is chairman. Cost for the event is $5.
XButler Memorial Presbyterian Women will present "Spirituality and Health" at 3 p.m. April 29 at the church, 126 E. Rayen Ave., Youngstown. Speakers will be Olivia Stallworth-Jones, Choffin School of Nursing, and the Rev. Donna Sloan of the theology department at Youngstown State University. A rainbow tea will follow the program.
XDiocesan Infant Jesus of Prague Guild will meet May 16 at Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna. The rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 10. Bus transportation will be available at a cost of $12 per person. The bus will leave the parking lot at St. Christine Church at 8 a.m. Reservations should be made with guild presidents. Deadline is April 30.
XMothers of the Crucifix Society of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, will meet for a feast day dinner May 6. A recognition ceremony will be held during the noon Mass and dinner at 1:30 p.m. in the social center. Guests may attend.
XOblate Sisters of Sacred Heart of Jesus Auxiliary will meet at 2 p.m. May 6 at the mother house on Warner Road for a holy hour and May crowning. Refreshments will be served. The cost is $2, and guests are welcome. Membership is open to Catholic women 18 or over.
SINGLES
XD.A.R.E. members will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Boardman Christian Church. Speaker will be Mary Ann Szeleste of St. Elizabeth Health Center on "High Blood Pressure -- Causes and Remedies." The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. April 28 at Movies 8 in Boardman, and will attend the dance from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. April 29 at Choices in Liberty. Cost for the dance is $4. VETERANS
XDistrict 8 Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary will hold its annual Loyalty Day parade April 29. The parade will line up at 1 p.m. at VFW Post 1055, 6000 New Milford Road, Ravenna, and step off at 2 p.m. Russ Marris of VFW 1055 and Anna McGrath of Auxiliary 1090 are chairmen for the event. State representatives will be George Durinka, junior vice commander, and Donna Russo, auxiliary guard.
