WILLIAM E. ROSS JR., 54

COLUMBIANA -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home for William E. Ross Jr., 54, of 42266 Kelly Park Ave., who died of a heart attack in the emergency room of Salem Community Hospital after being stricken at home.
Mr. Ross was born Feb. 11, 1947, in Salem, a son of William and Ellen Posey Ross and had lived in Columbiana area all his life.
Mr. Ross received a bachelor of business degree from Youngstown State University and then served as medical corpsman in the Army. He had been employed by R & amp;R Coal Co. and then as a press operator at General Motors at Lordstown for 29 years.
Mr. Ross was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbiana and the Allen Masonic Lodge 276 and Scottish Rite, Valley of Youngstown.
Besides his mother, Ellen Currie of Columbiana, he leaves his wife, the former Ellen Cummings, whom he married Aug. 23, 1968; a daughter, Heather McElroy of Leetonia; and a brother, Rick L. Ross of Leetonia.
Friends may call from noon until the the service at the funeral home. Memorial tributes may be made to Angels for Animals.
