NILES -- Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Rossi Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose Catholic Church, Girard, for Joseph A. Shenal, 83, 701 Summit Ave. No. 18, who died Tuesday evening in Briarfield at Ashley Circle, Austintown.
Mr. Shenal was born May 15, 1917, in Brownsville, Pa., a son of John and Anna Shenal.
He worked in furniture repair and delivery for Wagman Furniture, Girard, for 25 years before retiring in 1981.
He was a member of the church and an army veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife, the former Nellie Herbert Shenal, whom he married Oct. 5, 1940, he leaves a son, Richard Sr. of Kinsman; a brother, Emery of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Agnes Steinhauer of Cleveland; and three grandchildren.
A brother, John, and two sisters, Mary Motika and Catherine Fletcher, are deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
