HAROLD EUGENE OBLINGER, 76

NORTH JACKSON -- Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Shorts Funeral Home, Ravenna, for Harold Eugene Oblinger, 76, 131 N. Freedom St., Ravenna, formerly of North Jackson, who died Monday in Providence Hospital, Sandusky.
Mr. Oblinger was born Feb. 4, 1925, in North Jackson, a son of Selby H. and Laura Probst Oblinger, and lived in Sandusky for five years.
He graduated from Jackson-Milton High School, served in the Army during World War II, and retired as a truck driver for Spector Motor Freight in Richfield.
He was a member of Portage County Disabled American Veterans, Ravenna VFW Post 1055, Knights of Pythias and the Dramatic Order of the Knights of Khorasas.
He leaves a daughter, Alice Brown of Palm Springs, Calif.; a son, Lee of Ravenna; a sister, Ruth Pitzer in Florida; a brother, Sonny of Newark, Ohio; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
There area no calling hours. A VFW service will follow the memorial service.
