Group seeks donationsfor building hospice
AUSTINTOWN -- Mission of Love, a humanitarian group based in Austintown, is collecting nonperishable food, toiletries, kitchen supplies, bedding, tools, and building materials for building a hospice on the Lakota Sioux Reservation in Pine Ridge, S.D.
Donations can be delivered to the Holiday Inn MetroPlex at Belmont Avenue and Interstate 80 in Liberty from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. April 28 and 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. April 29.

Luncheon to observecrime victims week
YOUNGSTOWN -- A luncheon to honor victims of crime and to commemorate National Crime Victims Rights Week 2001 will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Youngstown Club, 201 E. Commerce St.
Speakers are Gloria McCauley, Buckeye Region Anti-Violence Organization; Willie Oliver, Youngstown NAACP; and Youngstown Police Detective Sgt. Anita Davis.
Cost is $15 and free continuing education units are available for social workers and counselors.
