DELMER W. SHIPLEY, 70



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, for Delmer W. Shipley, 70, of 1220 Townsend Ave., who died Wednesday morning in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mr. Shipley was born June 13, 1930, in South Connellsville, Pa., a son of James and Nellie Pearl Linderman Shipley. He was reared in Struthers and moved to Youngstown in 1957.
He graduated in 1948 from Struthers High School and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He retired in 1982 after 29 years at Youngstown Sheet & amp; Tube and LTV, where he was a rigger. He was a member of Christ Community Church in Campbell.
He leaves his wife, the former Sally Mae Eisenbraun, whom he married Dec. 24, 1950; two daughters, Shelley Williams of Youngstown and Vicky Andre of New Middletown; five sons, Delmer Jr. of Lehigh Acres, Fla., James of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ernest of Youngstown, Ted of North Baltimore, Ohio, and Terry of Liberty; a sister, Jeanetta Eisenbraun of Struthers, two brothers, Tracy of New Springfield and Richard of Poland; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, Sturgis, Ernest, Robert and James, are deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the church.
