DAVID HENRY CARROLL, 58



YOUNGSTOWN -- Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Hilton Head, S.C., for David Henry Carroll, 58, of Hilton Head, formerly of Youngstown, who died of a heart ailment April 9 in his residence.
Mr. Carroll was born March 11, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wis., a son of David E. and Christine T. Carroll, and lived most of his youth in Youngstown. He later lived in St. Louis, Mo., and Baltimore, Md., and moved to Hilton Head Island in 1991.
He was a graduate of Washington and Lee University, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta and a four-year letterman on the golf team. He won the golf championship at Youngstown Country Club in 1973. He received a master's degree in education in 1993. He was a vice president of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Youngstown, and later president of Mid-Atlantic Beverage Service in Baltimore. In recent years, he was a substitute teacher in the Beaufort County Schools in South Carolina. He was an avid golfer, a model train collector and a member of Mensa.
He leaves two sons, David H. and Christopher S., both of Baltimore, and a grandson.

Island Funeral Home in Hilton Head, S.C., is handling arrangements.
