BRITT EARL MITCHELL, 71

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Ed & amp; Don DeCarbo Northside Funeral Home, Wilmington Road, for Britt Earl Mitchell, 71, of 17700 S. Western Ave., Gardena, Calif., formerly of New Castle, who died of a heart ailment Friday in Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Harbor City, Calif.
Mr. Mitchell was born April 25, 1929, in New Castle, a son of George and Corine Gantlin. He was a disabled Army veteran and a member of Good Shepherd Family Bible Church of California. He enjoyed playing blues and jazz on the electric guitar.
Besides his wife, the former Buapun Sue Sutmvijitr, he leaves a daughter, Kulab Johnson in California; a sister, Corine Speed of New Castle; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Desiree Branch, is deceased.
Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Parkside Cemetery, with military honors to be provided by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.
