VERONICA L. SMITH, 94

YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home for Veronica L. Smith, 94, of 2955 Canfield Road, formerly of Louise Rita Court, who died early Monday in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Miss Smith was born Feb. 1, 1907, in Youngstown, a daughter of Stephen and Mary Ann Beck Smetnovsky, and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a production clerk for the General Electric lamp plant for 42 years before retiring in 1967, and was a member of St. Christine Church.
She leaves several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, Stephen, John and Joseph Smith; four sisters, Mary Ann Malleske, Helen Wellendorf, Ann Hopkins and Sophie Perchinske; and a nephew, Donald Malleske, with whom she made her home, are deceased.
Friends may call for one hour before services at the funeral home.
