MIRIAM L. KUCK, 87 Taught for Howland, Badger schools



KINSMAN -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in State Line United Methodist Church, West State Road, Jamestown, for Miriam L. Kuck, 87, of 10094 Kinsman-Pymatuning Road, who died Tuesday at home.
Mrs. Kuck was born April 20, 1913, in Cortland, a daughter of Harry and Mary Bettiker Retterer, and had lived in Kinsman since 1962 coming from Cortland.
She graduated from Cortland High School and then from Kent State University in 1960. She was a teacher for Howland and Joseph Badger schools, retiring in 1976 from Gustavus School.
She was a member of the church, Kinsman Golden Aires, Kinsman Chat and Patch Club, and she was a past matron of Cortland Order of Eastern Star.
Her husband, Ewald W., whom she married in November 1962, died April 7, 1989.
She leaves a daughter, Shirley M. Miller of Kinsman; a brother, Paul Retterer of Dunedin, Fla.; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A son, William L. McMillen, is deceased.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Baumgardner Funeral Home in Kinsman.
