ALLAN ROCCO TIROTTA, 48 Former Lowellville councilman, policeman



LOWELLVILLE -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home for Allan Rocco Tirotta, 48, of 7 W. Wood St., who died Monday morning in St. Elizabeth Health Center of complications from emphysema.
Mr. Tirotta, who was known as "Butch," was born June 6, 1952, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of Alfonso and Louise Varrichiol Tirotta, and came to this area as a child. He was self-employed in sales and silk screening.
He was a former Lowellville policeman and village councilman, and was former owner of Carallan's Restaurant of Coitsville. He also had owned and operated Westgate Truck Stop in Beaver Township and Ellwood Advertising in Niles and was former owner of TNT's Clothing Store in the Eastwood Mall.
He was past president of the Lowellville Baseball Association and had coached baseball, football, youth softball and soccer in Lowellville. He was the public address announcer for Lowellville High School home football games.
He was a 1970 graduate of Lowellville High School and a 1975 graduate of Youngstown State University, where he majored in education.
He leaves his wife, the former Carole Ann Schrader, whom he married June 21, 1975; a daughter, Angela Lynn, and a son, Jason Allan, both at home; two sisters, Rosemarie Eckman and Jennifer Tirotta, both of Lowellville; and a grandson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
