MAX P. BELCHYK Jr., 64 In Youngstown Bowling Hall of Fame



STRUTHERS -- Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson-Becker Funeral home, and at 10 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, for Max P. Belchyk Jr., 64, of 624 Wilson St., who died Sunday morning in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown.
Mr. Belchyk was born June 28, 1936, in Ambridge, Pa., a son of Max P. Sr. and Aurelia George Belchyk, and came to the area as a child.
He was a truck driver for Tartan Industries for more than 25 years. He was a graduate of Struthers High School, where he played football, baseball and ran track and was inducted into Struthers Football Hall of Fame.
He was a member of several area bowling leagues, had bowled two perfect games, and was inducted into the Youngstown Bowling Hall of Fame. He was also a member of Struthers Gridiron Club.
Besides his wife, the former Helen Kopkash, whom he married Oct. 3, 1957, he leaves two daughters, Debra Lombard of Port Orange, Fla., and Sherry Kimerer of Struthers; a son, Max P. III of Augusta, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
A brother, Jerry, is deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
