Balloons will honor cheerleader who died
YOUNGSTOWN -- A release of balloons before Youngstown State University's Red and White football game will honor Paul Snyder, a Penguin cheerleader who recently died from complications of mononucleosis.
The annual spring game will be at 7 p.m. Friday.
YSU cheerleaders hope the balloon release will raise money for a memorial to Snyder.
Cheerleaders are accepting donations for the memorial.
Contributions may be made at the ticket office at Stambaugh Stadium or at a table in Kilcawley Center from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. game day.
