SCOTT M. SHAFER, 24

GREENVILLE, Pa. -- A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home, Hartford, for Scott M. Shafer, 24, of Tullahoma, Tenn., formerly of Greenville, who died of a gunshot wound Friday night in Shelbyville, Tenn. His death was ruled a homicide.
Mr. Shafer was born Jan. 12, 1977, in Lake Charles, La., a son of James and Ellen Bowser Shafer. He was an Army veteran, serving one year in Egypt, and was employed as a truck driver.
Besides his parents of Greenville, he leaves a son, Dequarius of Tullahoma; and two brothers, Lonnie of Sharon and Weston of Greenville.
A daughter, Yvette Shafer, is deceased.
Friends may call for one hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
