PROJECTS Vertical skateparks

The following Vertical Skateparks projects are complete or in progress:
Snowmass Village, Colo. -- Outdoor public skate park, wood and steel construction, 7,200 square feet, completed in 1996.Philadelphia -- Outdoor facility for Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Philadelphia, wood and steel construction, 11,000 square feet.Bexley, Ohio -- Public skate park, constructed of wood, steel and recycled wood-plastic material; project cost, $12,000.Jefferson, Ohio -- Public skate park, wood and steel construction.Great Barrington, Mass. -- Wood and steel park, 7,000 square feet, for a private youth camp.Akron -- Design in progress for a 22,000-square-foot, all-concrete public park to be build near Akron-Canton Airport. Another contractor will be hired to build the project, which is priced at about $246,000.Austinburg, Ohio -- Construction under way on a wood and steel outdoor park for Grand River Boys Academy, a private boys' school.Grand Island, New York -- Design in progress for a 40,000-square-foot park, set for construction this summer.New Middletown, Ohio -- Three design proposals submitted for an outdoor public skate park which officials are considering.
