Police probe whether woman was given a date-rape drug

ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. -- Police suspect a Youngstown woman was given a date-rape drug and taken to Pennsylvania against her will.
Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a man in his 20s named "Donnie" who possibly lives in Ellwood City or Wampum. He is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, 160 pounds, with short brown hair and a neat appearance.
Police say he met a 19-year-old Youngstown woman at Ernie McDoogell's bar, 154 W. Rayen Ave., adjacent to Youngstown State University, Saturday night. The man agreed to drive her home in her own car and the two left the bar, the woman said. She told police she doesn't remember anything after leaving the bar, believing she passed out or fainted.
Trooper Joseph Vascetti said they are investigating to see if the woman was sexually assaulted.
Police said she woke up around 3 a.m. Sunday when the man crashed her car on Darlington Road, New Beaver Borough, in Lawrence County. According to Vascetti, the woman immediately jumped out of the car and flagged down a passerby for help. The man was there for a short time after the crash and then left, the trooper said. The passerby took the woman to Ellwood City, where she contacted police.
