Steam train to makeDennison-Newark run
On June 3, the Mahoning Valley Railroad Heritage Association will operate a steam-powered passenger train from Dennison, Ohio, to the Strawberries on the Square festival in Newark, Ohio.
The train will be pulled by the Ohio Central Railroad's newly restored 4-8-4 steam locomotive No. 6325. The locomotive is a former Grand Trunk Western Railroad steamer and is the largest steam locomotive owned by the Ohio Central Railroad.

The train will depart from the restored Pennsylvania Railroad Passenger Station in Dennison at 8:30 a.m. and arrive in Newark at noon. Passengers will have three hours to spend at the festival before the return trip to Dennison.
During the trip, two passengers will be given the opportunity to ride in the cab of the locomotive.
Coach tickets are $59 each and can be purchased by charge by calling (800) 571-1199 or by sending a check made payable to MVRH to P.O. Box 3055, Youngstown 44511.

On trips, give kidschance for active play
During long car trips with children, instead of stopping only at restaurants, try finding a park or playground for more active, refreshing breaks, advises Rand McNally. Sprawling octopus
Miami Beach's Fontainebleau Hilton has just opened "Cookie's World," a $5 million water park featuring a sprawling octopus -- "Cookie" -- who spans more than 7,000 square feet and sits 21 feet tall in a shallow activity pool.
The octopus showers guests as they play in the pool. All eight tentacles, ranging in length from 30 to 54 feet, wrap around the enormous wading pool and shoot out up to 510 gallons of water per minute through 20 spray nozzles and four waterfalls.
A lazy river raft ride surrounds the octopus while a 260-foot-long spiral water slide offers a long, slippery ride.
