LIMELIGHT Awards, achievements



PITTSBURGH --William Howell, a regional branch manager for Parker/Hunter Inc. and a Lowellville native, has been awarded the company's President's Council status for 2000. The status recognizes the company's top investment executives. Howell lives in Vincent, Ohio, and has been with the firm since 1983.
WARREN -- The Columbus company that designed the Austintown office of Seven Seventeen Credit Union was awarded the grand prize in the service provider division in an international design competition sponsored by the National Association of Store Fixture Managers in Chicago. The design, by Retail Design Group, was also featured in the April 2001 issue of the trade magazine Display & amp; Design Ideas. DeSalvo Construction of Liberty was the general contractor for the project, and Baker, Bednar & amp; Associates served as architects.
COLUMBIANA -- C. Tucker Cope & amp; Associates, a general contracting firm, has received a national award for design and construction excellence from American Buildings Co. The Columbiana firm won was recognized for its work on the $3.1 million Mount Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington, S.C. American Buildings is a manufacturer of metal building systems and construction products.
LOWELLVILLE -- Yeo Farms has been recognized by the American Angus Association for having one registered Angus cow included in the American Angus Association's 2001 Pathfinder Report. Only 1,950 of the association's 35,000 members are represented in the report.
BOARDMAN -- Joel D. Matthews, a financial adviser with the Boardman office of American Express Financial Advisors, has been named a finalist in the company's Quality of Advice 2001 National Case Competition. His financial plan was one of 80 regional winners and will advance to the national competition.
