K9 Fun Run to be held at fairgrounds

Proceeds will benefit homeless and neglected animals in the area.
CANFIELD -- The fourth annual Mahoning County Humane Society K9 Fun Run has been planned for April 28 at Canfield Fairgrounds, state Route 46.
The event will get under way at 8 a.m. and will include a one-mile competitive run, two one-mile walks, and a free kids run. Featured will be dog games and contests and an awards ceremony. A special event will be held for cats.
To participate: Entry forms can be picked up in advance at PetsMart or Pet Supplies Plus. The preregistration entry fee is $12. A check or money order for that amount and a completed entry form should be postmarked by April 21 and mailed to the Mahoning County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2628, Youngstown, Ohio 44507.
On the day of the event, the entry fee will be $27 Late registration begins at 8 a.m., and race packets can be picked up at 8:30 a.m.
