Designer duck? It's still a Rubba Duck
A duck even Calvin Klein could love.
School-bus yellow traditionally has been the color of rubber duckies. But for those with strict minimalist bathrooms -- all pale tumbled-limestone and matte pewter hardware -- here's a little something in pale gray that won't spoil the look.
Gray Duck is among the first flotilla of 12 ducks designed by Rubba Duck, a line being touted as a successor collectible to Beanie Babies. The flock should be in Toys "R" Us stores. The cost is $5.99.
By reducing noise,headphones ease racket
The Noise Buster stereo headphone does double duty as a way to listen to portable tape and CD players as well as to listen to nothing at all.
Recently reduced in price to $39, the Noise Buster has an "active noise reduction" system that dramatically quiets noisy places.
The Noise Buster is sold at Sharper Image stores. You also can order it directly from the manufacturer -- although it will cost you an additional $6.95 for shipping and handling -- by calling (800) 278-3526 or by going to http://nct-active.com/.
