CHARLES WHITE Jr., 64
WARREN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Progressive Baptist Church, for Charles White Jr., 64, of 911 Fourth St. S.W., who died Thursday at his home of cardiac arrest.
Mr. White was born Aug. 10, 1936, in Savanna, Ga., a son of Charles and Odessa Lockhart Sr. He moved here as an infant.
He was an automotive assembler for General Motors Corp. in Lordstown for 14 years, retiring in 1985, and was member of United Auto Workers Local 1112. He was an auxiliary policeman for Warren and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
He was a 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.
He was an Exalted Ruler of the Louis Mitchell Elks Lodge 222 and was a Scout leader for Boy Scouts of America Troop 102, a member of the Trumbull County Antler Guard Unit 1625, and the A. Phillip Randolph Institute. He liked billiards, bowling and golf.
His wife, the former Norma J. Coleman, whom he married May 27, 1973, died Feb. 10, 1994.
Beside his mother, Odessa Folks of Pittsburgh, he leaves four sons, Steven K. of Toledo, Sgt. Charles M. of Hurlburt Field Air Force Base in Florida, Nolan R. of Cleveland and Bronson C. of Warren; a daughter, Atty. Gina M. Donnelly-Goins of Monroe, Mich.; and a cousin, Patricia Moore, with whom he resided; a half brother, Demetrius White of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A brother, Obie, is deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home, Warren. The family will receive friends at 911 W. Fourth St. S.W.
