VERNON CHARLES WARD, 81

WARREN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McFarland & amp; Son Funeral Home for Vernon Charles Ward, 81, of 2831 Parkman Road N.W., who died Thursday night in Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Ward was born Feb. 2, 1920, in Indiana, a son of Charles and Elizabeth Serber Ward, and came here seven years ago from Moreno Valley, Calif. He was a mechanic at Repco Industries in California 25 years before retiring in 1990.
He leaves his wife, the former Corrine Adell Prentice, whom he married Feb. 8, 1963; three daughters, Cindy Bochay of Riverside, Calif., Louise Katona of Southington and Donna Jean Rewt of Warren; two sons, Larry A. Sabol of Bristolville and Phillip Ward in Michigan; two brothers, Harold in North Carolina and Leonard in Brazil; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Cheryl Whitaker, is deceased.
