Auditorium dedication
YOUNGSTOWN -- Warriors Inc., which owns the Reconciliation Center that houses Eagle Heights Academy, will dedicate the school's renovated auditorium in the name of community leader the late Hugh A. Frost, during a program from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 24.
The Youngstown native worked at the YMCA in Youngstown, and was the executive director of the McGuffey Centre responsible for the construction of the present McGuffey Centre building. He also was the affirmative action officer and assistant to the president of Youngstown State University until his retirement in 1984. Frost served on the boards of the Boys Club of Youngstown, the Youngstown Society for the Blind, and on the youth services advisory board of the Ohio Youth Commission. He was the first black member of the Youngstown Board of Education and served as vice president.
The guest speaker will be James Lottier, retired director of housing management for the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority. There will also be music by the Rising Star Baptist Church, where Frost's son, the Rev. Gary Frost, is pastor, and remarks from members of the community. Refreshments will be follow. Ordination set
NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- William R. Dailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dailey of Warren, will be ordained into the priesthood as a member of the Congregation of the Holy Cross on April 21 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame. He is the son of two Warren parishes, St. Mary and Sts. Cyril and Methodius, and is the first priest from Sts. Cyril and Methodius since its founding in 1928. He's a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and the University of Notre Dame. He is completing a pastoral internship in Portland, Ore.
The bells of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church will ring intermittently from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on his ordination day in support for Dailey and promotion of religious vocations. He will return to Warren in June to celebrate Mass at times to be announced at both parishes.
Revival speaker
POLAND -- Evangelist Dr. Phil Shuler from Canoga Park, Calif., will speak when the Gospel Baptist Church has spring revival meetings. The 50-year evangelist will sing some of the 450 gospel songs he has written during the revival. Services are at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. April 22, and 7 p.m. April 23 to 27.
Cancer ministry
BOARDMAN -- The Rev. Gary Cooper is president and founder of Present Help Inc. of Pittsburgh, which provides spiritual support for cancer patients. He will preach at 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. April 22 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, present a seminar at 3 p.m., and conduct a Service of Wholeness at 4:45 p.m. All the events are free. Lecture set
WARREN -- Keith Austin Wommack, of Corpus Christi, Texas, will give a free talk titled "Make Each Moment a Joy" at 3 p.m. April 21 at First Church of Christ, Scientist. The Texas native performed with the Wommack Brothers and toured the United States and Europe with Journey, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Elvis Costello, Edgar Winter and others. In 1994, he became an authorized teacher of Christian Science.

Duo to perform
COITSVILLE -- "Grant & amp; Sally Ministries," a full-time Christian music duo from Loudonville, will perform at 6 p.m. April 28 at Coitsville Presbyterian Church. They have released three albums, most recently, "It's All About Jesus." An offering will be taken.
Singer-songwriter
SALEM -- Jessy Dixon, who performs on the Bill Gaither Homecoming videos, will sing at 7 p.m. April 25 at Real Life Assembly of God. Dixon has written a number of songs recorded by artists ranging from Amy Grant to Cher. Call (330) 332-0011.
