PAUL WUKOTICH, 80 Operated service station for 34 years



SALEM -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stark Memorial Funeral Home for Paul Wukotich, 80, of 3245 state Route 45, who died of cancer Friday morning at home.
Mr. Wukotich was born June 13, 1920, in Livingston, Wis., a son of Peter and Sara Banda Wukotich, and lived in the area most of his life.
He owned and operated Paul's Pennzoil in Salem for 34 years and before that worked six years at Eljer Co. He retired in 1982.
He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II and was a member of Salem VFW.
He played on the Salem Blue Sox baseball team and he and other family members formed and played in a band called Tamburitza. He was a Protestant.
He leaves his wife, the former Alberta Graybeal, whom he married Sept. 21, 1955; three sons, Michael D. of Yalaha, Fla., Gary L. of Paris, Ky., and Mark S. of Salem; a sister, Helen Wukotich Elevick of Salem; and seven grandchildren.
Two brothers, George and Joe, are deceased.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Military rites will be provided by Salem AMVETS and VFW at Highland Memorial Park.
