JAMES F. RANKIN, 80



SHARON, Pa. -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Stevenson Funeral Home for James F. Rankin, 80, of 275 Sterling Ave., who died Friday morning in Sharon Regional Health System hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Rankin was born April 18, 1920, in Sharon, a son of Frank and Rebecca Hughes Rankin.
He served in the Army during World War II, receiving four Bronze Stars, and was a member of Sharon American Legion Post 299 and the First United Methodist Church of Sharon.
He retired from Winn Dixie Supermarket in Tavernier, Fla., where he was a manager, and also was the former office manager for Hillcrest Memorial Park in Hermitage.
He leaves three cousins in the Sharon and Greenville areas.
His sister, Mary Louise Ayers, is deceased.
Friends may call for one hour before the service Monday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Jefferson Avenue, Sharon. Pa. 16146.
