Drabisons are honored on anniversary



YOUNGSTOWN -- Birch Hill Cabin in Mill Creek Park was the setting at 5 p.m. April 14 for a catered dinner held in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Drabison, 146 S. Yorkshire Blvd., who were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for event were their family, John and Ruth Drabison, Diane Clark, David and Janice Drabison, and Thomas and Maureen Drabison, all of Youngstown, and Linda and Tom Moore of Cortland. Also participating were the couple's nine grandchildren.
Married April 14, 1951, at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, the Drabisons are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown. They are also members of the church senior citizens group and altar and rosary society, St. Mary's Golden Pillars and Rosary Makers.
Mrs. Drabison, the former Irene Novotny, is retired after being employed as a secretary/bookkeeper with St. John the Baptist Church in Campbell and St. Casimir Church in Youngstown.
Mr. Drabison served with the 727 Military Police in Tehran, Iran, and is retired after being employed at McKay Machine and Wean Industries in Youngstown and at General Motors in Lordstown.
