Seven Mahoning Valley elementary schools and one high school will receive state grants for improved proficiency test scores:
Mary Haddow Elementary, Youngstown, $25,000.
Lacroft Elementary, East Liverpool, $25,000.
Maple Ridge Elementary, West Branch, $25,000.
Garfield Elementary, Niles, $25,000.
Alden Elementary, Warren, $25,000.
Maplewood North Elementary, North Bloomfield, $25,000.
Bonham Elementary, Niles, $25,000.
Southern Junior/Senior High School, $50,000.
