GERALD J. PADULA, 58



WARREN -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., for Gerald J. Padula, 58, of 10 Kingfish Ave., Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., formerly of Warren, who died of complications from pulmonary fibrosis Tuesday afternoon at Mayo St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.,
Mr. Padula, who was known as Jerry, was born Feb. 27, 1943, in Warren, a son of Charles J. and Jennie Metta Padula.
He graduated from Warren G. Harding High School. He retired from the Navy in 1985 as a chief warrant officer after 23 years. He was a self-employed quality control consultant for the past 12 years. He also was a consultant for H & amp; R Block and J. Williams & amp; Associates.
He was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church.
He leaves his wife, the former Sarah Andrus, whom he married Aug. 8, 1997; a daughter, Tia Miller of Columbia City, Ind.; a brother, Patrick Padula of Warren, and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
