FARRELL, Pa. -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stephen J. Sherman Funeral Home, Hermitage, for Andrew Kohut, 87, of 600 Indiana Ave., who died Tuesday afternoon in Sharon Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Kohut was born Oct. 9, 1913, in Trauger, Pa., a son of Michael and Katherine Steransak Kohut. He served in the Army during World War II. He worked at Mercer Tube for 44 years before retiring as a supervisor in 1978. He was Catholic, was a lifetime member of New Deal Club and a member of Farrell American Legion.
He leaves his wife, the former Beatrice Killa, whom he married Aug. 4, 1936; a brother, William of Sharon, Pa.; and three sisters, Helen Salae of New Wilmington, Pa., Margaret Dulaney of Sharon, Pa. and Irene Schaller of Pulaski, Pa.
Two sisters, Mary Kohut and Pauline Palazzini, and three brothers, Joseph, John and Michael, are deceased.
