2 Newton Falls men arrested in robbery of Milton couple

LAKE MILTON -- Milton Township police have arrested two Newton Falls men suspected of beating and robbing an elderly couple in their Gladstone Road home April 4.
John Fetherolf, 18, of Grandview Boulevard and Shawn P. Robinson, 18, of Center Street were arrested Wednesday on tips from the community and evidence collected at the home.
Charges against them: Each is charged with two counts of kidnapping, two counts of robbery and two counts of aggravated burglary.
Police confiscated a 1980 Chevrolet Camaro from the Center Street address.
Both men were being held for arraignment today in Mahoning County Court in Austintown.
Police said the two men knocked on the door of the Gladstone Road home at about 8:30 p.m. and the man who answered was lured outside and beaten.
Police said the two also put a plastic bag over his head in an attempt to suffocate him.
Wife beaten: One suspect then went into the house and beat the man's wife.
Before leaving, the intruders forced the couple into a closet. The couple refused medical treatment.
Police said the men left the home with money and two guns.
