Miss L'Italien, Matthew Danus to wed June 9

SALEM -- Mark and Patti L'Italien, 433 Springdale St., announce the engagement of their daughter, Melanie Kay L'Italien of the same address, to Matthew Nicholas Danus, son of Andrew and Mary Danus, all of 4123 Rush Blvd., Youngstown.
June 9 has been selected as the couple's wedding date, and they will exchange vows during an open ceremony at 4:30 p.m. at Austintown Community United Church of Christ. An evening reception, by invitation, is being planned at St. Mary Assumption Social Center, Youngstown.
The engaged couple are students at Hiram College, Hiram, and will graduate in May. The bride-to-be will receive a bachelor's degree in elementary education and the future groom a bachelor's degree in environmental studies.
