MILDRED VAUGHAN, 88
COLUMBIANA -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stark Memorial Funeral Home for Mildred Vaughan, 88, of 930 E. Park Avenue, who died Tuesday afternoon at Parkside Health Care Center.
Mrs. Vaughan was born July 17, 1912, in Gaylord, Mich., a daughter of James H. and Frances Howlett Bowen.
She was an operator for Ohio Bell Telephone Co. for 29 years before retiring in 1972. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Telephone Pioneers of America.
Her husband, Charles H., whom she married April 2, 1932, died April 7, 1942.
She leaves two sons, William and Orrin, both of Salem; a daughter, Joyce Constant of Berlin, Md.; a sister, Lois Gibson South Branch, Mich.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A daughter, Audrey Cunning; three brothers, Deo, Aubrey and William Bowen, and three sisters, Margaret Andrakis, Effie Beamish and Nina Galbraith, are deceased.
