MARTIN DELLINGER JR., 94

NILES -- Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Reese Wynn Winyard McDermott-Laird Funeral Home for Martin Dellinger Jr., 94, of 2169 N. Bellwood Ave., who died Tuesday morning in St. Joseph Health Center, Warren, after a brief illness.
Mr. Dellinger was born Oct. 4, 1906, in Vienna, a son of Martin Sr. and Elizabeth Dellinger, and lived in Niles most of his life.
He was a steamfitter for Local Plumbers, Pipefitters, Steamfitters and Sprinklefitters 225 in Warren for more than 50 years and was a member of Plumbers, Steamfitters, Pipefitters and Sprinklefitters Retirees Union 396 of Youngstown. He repaired and restored automobiles at home.
His wife, the former Elizabeth Orr, whom he married May 15, 1936, died Nov. 10, 1989.
He leaves a son, Jim of Niles; a brother, George of Lido Beach, Fla.; a sister, Teresa Menz of McKinley Heights; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Frank, Dave and John, and a sister, Mary Thorpe, are deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
