Annual brush pickup
Annual brush pickup
CANFIELD -- The city's annual brush pickup will begin April 30 in the southwest quadrant of the city, south of Bradford Drive and west of Broad Street.
A crew from Kohler's Green Acres will go down each street once, feeding branches into a chipper and carting away the remains, officials said.
On May 7 they will move on to the northwest quadrant, north of Bradford Drive and west of Broad Street, then onto the northeast quadrant, north of U.S. Route 224 and east of Broad Street, on May 14.
The final section, south of state Route 224 and east of Broad Street, will be started May 21.
The cleanup crew will not accept grass clippings, roots, or tree branches more than 3 inches thick.
The city's cost for the month-long job is not to exceed $14,000.
