LEON VANHORN, 76

MERCER, Pa. -- Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, Sharpsville, for Leon VanHorn, 76, of 8221 Lamor Road, formerly of Sharpsville, who died Sunday morning at Countryside Nursing Home.
Mr. VanHorn was born June 8, 1924, in Sharpsville, a son of Fred and Lodema Christ VanHorn.
He worked for Shenango Inc. as a skip operator for 40 years before retiring in 1989.
His wife, the former Grayce E. Armour, whom he married July 23, 1955, died Jan. 5, 1990.
He leaves two sons, Guy R. and William S., both of Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Deborah Robinson of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters, Alberta VanHorn of Sharpsville and Phyllis Gearhart of West Middlesex; and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
