WARREN -- Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Roberts-Clark Memorial Home for Dorothy G. Gay, 79, of 2805 Larchmont Ave. N.E., who died Monday morning at home after a long illness.
Mrs. Gay was born Sept. 27, 1921, in Lumberport, W.Va., a daughter of Charles and Mary Knight Corder, and lived in Warren most of her life.
She was a sales clerk for Hills Department Store for 20 years before retiring in 1981 and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in West Virginia.
Her husband, Blaine M., whom she married Dec. 23, 1939, died April 22, 1981.
She leaves three sons, John Gray of Warren, Michael Gay of Howland and Steve Gay of Niles; three daughters, Betty Lou Daffron of Port Charlotte, Fla., Linda Verner of Mecca and Carol Sayers of Champion; a sister, Kathryn Dague of Akron; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her stepfather, Charles Knight, a daughter, Darlene Gay, and a brother, Parker Corder, are deceased.
Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northeast Ohio, 219 North River Road N.W., Warren 44483.
