Just in time for spring cleaning, the Carroll-Columbiana-Harrison Joint Solid Waste District is offering area residents an opportunity to drop off certain recyclable or reusable items. Here's some details. For more information, call (330) 424-0530.
Tires: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 20; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 21 at the Columbiana County garage, 315 S. Market St., Lisbon. All tires must be without rims and free of water and debris. Cost for passenger car and light-truck tires is 50 cents a tire for the first 10. Additional tires are $2 each. Only cash will be accepted.Appliances, scrap metal and electronics: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 21 at Solomon Scrap and Salvage, state Route 14, east of Salem. No charge. Items not accepted: oil, propane or gas tanks, paint cans, sealed containers and 55-gallon drums.
