HUBBARD -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, for Jack D. Luther, 74, of 540 Dorchester Drive, who died Saturday afternoon at West Boca Medical Center, Boca Raton, Fla.
Mr. Luther was born March 17, 1927, in Struthers, a son of Samuel and Myrtle Queen Luther. He lived in Struthers until moving to Hubbard in 1959, and spent several months each year at his home in Coconut Creek, Fla.
He retired in 1986 after 43 years at Sharon Steel Corp., where he was general foreman and senior melter of the electric furnace department.
He graduated in 1945 from Struthers High School and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hubbard, Jerusalem Masonic Lodge 19, Struthers VFW Post 3538 and Sharon Steel Management Club.
Besides his wife, the former Sarah V. Senzarino, whom he married June 21, 1947, he leaves a daughter, Jaclyn M. Stiver of Hubbard; two sons, Kenneth D. of Coconut Creek, Fla., and Brian T. Luther of Hubbard; five sisters, Dorothy Macejko of Struthers, Clara Prine of Petersburg, Barbara Berratoran of Canfield, Gail Yallech of Poland and Karen Picchoro of Chandler, Ariz; two brothers, Harold of Struthers and Ronald of Boardman; and four grandchildren.
A sister, Joyce Mancuso, is deceased.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, where a Masonic service will be at 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to Jerusalem Masonic Lodge 19.
