ANNA T. KUCEK, 79
NEWTON FALLS -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Church for Anna T. Kucek, 79, of 1219 Warren Road, who died Saturday afternoon in Assumption Village, North Lima.
Mrs. Kucek was born May 1, 1921, in Center Township, Pa., a daughter of Andrew and Mary M. Serbin Yager. She lived in Newton Falls most of her life.
She was a homemaker and a member of the church, where she started the Ladies Guild, was in charge of church dinners and was a member of its Senior Citizens. She helped start the colt and pony baseball leagues in 1963 in Newton Falls and was a member of the city's parks and recreation board and helped put in two baseball fields and bleachers. She taught ceramics in her home.
Besides her husband, Joseph A., whom she married June 19, 1948, she leaves two daughters, Jo-Anne Keffer and Jo-Lene Cooper, both of Newton Falls; a son, Jack of Canfield; a sister, Mary Sanders, and a brother, John Yager, both of Newton Falls; and 11 grandchildren.
A son, Joseph M., and two brothers, Mike and Andy Yager, are deceased.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the church. Arrangements are by James Funeral Home.
